Growing up I spent a lot of time with my maternal Grandmother Ada, who aside from home making, spent her free time painting, sewing, knitting, and tending her gorgeous garden. Whenever my sisters and I would be left in the care of my Grandmother she always made sure we had something creative to work on. Often she would knit and sew us matching outfits, and its really stuck with me how much more warm, and loved I felt in her handmade items. There really is something special about it, and I seek to elicit those same feelings with my own work. My happiest moments from early life always include the pleasure I found in crafting something beautiful to be shared with others. I draw a huge amount of inspiration from my grandmother’s works. I was fortunate enough to inherit her craft supplies when she passed away in 2001, and I still use most of them to this day.

I first learned to crochet at the age of 12, and later I went on to teach myself to knit at 16. Since then I have tried many other art forms, perhaps the most bold of which includes hand-pushed tattooing on myself. Over the years I’ve grown my skills, and my confidence to share my makes more widely beyond my friends and family, which has resulted in the website you’ve currently found yourself on. Right now I’m working on honing beginner skills with a sewing machine, and branching out into drafting (and hopefully publishing) my own knitting patterns.
